for The Playground Children's Theatre Company on Sunday, June 4th, 2006. 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

I just got cast as Mrs. Holly in Tennessee Wiliiams' "Suddenly Last Summer" at
American Stage, in St. Petersburg, Florida. The show opens March 16th, 2007
and runs through April 15th. I'm delighted to be finally working there.
7/3/06-

I will be in New Jersey July 18th through 20th, 2006 working on a project with a company
called Knowledge Launch, formerly Erroyo Productions.
7/14/06-

I will be playing Myra in Ira Levin's "Deathtrap", at the Maltz/Jupiter Theatre, Florida.
The show opens January 9th, 2007 and runs through January 21st.

I am blessed to be working again with J. Barry Lewis who directed me in "
Hysteria",
at the Pope Theatre (now Florida Stage), many moons ago.
"Hysteria" garnered
Carbonell nominations for Best Production, Best Director, Best Actress (me), Best
Actor, Best Supporting Actor (Lou Tyrell) and won all the design awards. It was my
first show upon moving to Florida. J. Barry is the Artistic Co-ordinator of "Summer
Shorts", the festival of short plays produced every summer by City Theatre. I was
also blessed to be a part of the 10th Anniversary company in 2005. We were
nominated for a Carbonell Award for Best Ensemble. City Theatre has partnered
with the Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival and their 10 Minute Play
Fest.

Will be working at Blowing Rock Stage Company, in North Carolina, from
September 29th through October 22nd, 2006 as Aunt Alma in the World Premiere
of "
Dairy Queen Days", by Robert Inman. It is based on his novel by the same
name and directed by Kenneth Kay. I'm delighted to be working with Ken again,
after collaborating on "
Sylvia" and "How I Learned to Drive", both at the Caldwell
Theatre Company in Boca Raton, FL. I received a Carbonell Nomination for Best
Supporting Actress as Female Greek Chorus, in
"How I Learned to Drive".
11/3/06-

Back from Blowing Rock, N.C. "Dairy Queen Days" went extremely well,
considering the very short rehearsal period: 7 days plus 2 days of tech. Everyone
was also very pleased with audience attendance, as this was the first Fall show
ever produced. No reviews, though, as Blowing Rock and Boone newspapers
publish weekly and do not happen to review theatre.
Next up: "
Deathtrap" at Maltz/Jupiter Theatre. Rehearsals start on December 19th.
For more information and pictures about Blowing Rock, click on my blog link,
above.

Opened "Deathtrap" at The Maltz-Jupiter Theatre on January 11th and we have
been filling the 500 plus seat theatre for every show, so far. Click on the links for
the reviews we have had to date.
1/15/07-

Next up: "Suddenly Last Summer", at American Stage in St. Pete, FL.
3/24/07-

Opened "Suddenly Last Summer" on March 17th, and we have been
pleasantly surprised with our full audiences. Theatre, it seems, is not so
dead. Click on the reviews.
6/10/07-

Opening as Ida Craddock in the world premiere of "SMUT", at Gable Stage
on June 16th. We close July 17th.
7/19/07-

I'll be participating in the1st "VOICES AT THE RIVER" playwrighting residency at Arkansas Rep,
August 6th through 19th. I'm thrilled to be back at The Rep, after some years, and working on
what sounds to be a very exciting project.

"The playwrights’ residency program is designed to support Latino- and African-American
playwrights nationally and in Arkansas. Plays to be developed during the residency include new
works by Vanessa Garcia, Javon Johnson, Guillermo Reyes, and Ajene D. Washington."

I'll be working on
"BREATHE" by Javon Johnson, and "WE LOST IT AT THE MOVIES (with a
special appearance by Rock Hudson)"
by Guillermo Reyes. For more, info click on logo.
7/24/07-

I'll be working on the "48 Hour Film Project" this weekend, July 28th. A
national/international festival/competition, whereby filmmakers have 48
hours to write, shoot and edit a short film. Should be interesting! For
more info, click on logo.

"VOICES AT THE RIVER" turned out to be a fabulous experience, as expected, and it was
lovely to see some old faces.

Next up, Amanda in
"GLASS MENAGERIE" at Blowing Rock Stage Company, August 28th
through October 21st. Delighted to be going back there this year, after a great time last
season working on
"DAIRY QUEEN DAYS", and especially looking forward to the Fall cool
and colors.
1/20/08-

Will be back at American Stage Co., in St. Petersburg, FL February 12th through March
31st, with a possible extension through April 6. Looking very foward to working with
Todd Olsen again, on
"HAMLET", playing Gertrude.

On Feb 4th at 2 pm and 7 pm I will be participating in a play reading at the Caldwell
Theatre Company. The play is
"CANNINGTON MANOR" is written by Clive Cholerton.
11/20/07-

"THE GLASS MENAGERIE" went extremely well, although they still don't review shows there.
So nothing to post.
4/21/08-

"HAMLET" was a great success, and we had pretty much full houses
throughout the run, which we were not expecting.
5/20/08-

Have been performing as Laura Delano Houghteling, and Theresa in Bernard Weinraub's " THE
ACCOMPLICES"
, at Gable Stage, in Coral Gables. This is our last week. An important piece about the initial
inaction of FDR's administration and American Jews, in light of the genocide of the Jews in Nazi Germany.

Also played Queen Elizabeth I in a new reading of a play called
"MARLOW", at Gable Stage, tonight. Audience
seemed intrigued by the notion that Chris Marlow could have actually written the bulk of Will Shakepspeare's
plays.
5/21/08-

Next up, am delighted to be working at the Banyan Theatre Company, in Sarasota, FL as
Josie in O'Neil's classic

8/31/08- "A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN" was a great success with
blessedly good reviews. A few are listed below.
8/31/09- Had a wonderful run in "BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEEANANE" at
the Banyan Theatre in Sarasota, June/July, with the fabulous Gil Lazier
at the helm. Had lovely reviews and a great time. I played Maureen, the
hapless daughter.
12/10/09- Won "Best Actress" in Sarasota Creative Loafing's BEST
OF THE SUNCOAST, for
"Moon For The Misbegotten" last year, and
for
"Beauty Queen of Leenane" this year.
